It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Don Bennett, the co-founder of Deer Genetics NZ.
Don passed on 14th April 2021.
We celebrated Don's life on the 21st April 2021 with his many friends and family.

2014 Awards
Mentor DG won 3rd place in the sire of three at the 2014 regional competition. Mentor DG also won first place in the sire of three at the rising stars national competition.
Huneric DG won 2nd place in the hard antler red class at the 2014 regional competition, scoring 507 @ 7yrs. Huneric DG also won 3rd place at the national competition 2014 in the trophy antler class. Huneric DG won 2nd place for sire of three at the rising stars national competition.
Phantasos DG won 1st place in hard antler red 2yr old class at the 2014 regional competition scoring 407 @ 2yrs. Phantasos DG also won 3rd place at the rising stars national competition.
Imbrius DG won 3rd place in hard antler red 2yr old class at the 2014 regional competition scoring 393 @ 2yrs.

2013 Awards
Phobetor DG won 1st place in hard antler red 2yr old class at the regional 2013 competition. He scored 355 @ 2yrs
Huneric DG won 2nd place as the sire of three at the rising stars national competition 2013.
Morpheus DG won 3rd place as the sire of three at the rising stars national competition 2013.

2011 Awards
Our stags were independently scored on 17 Jan 2011
Morpheus DG was scored at 603 @ 4yrs, the highest score in history for a 4yr old in 2011. He jumped 72 points since his 3yr score of 531. Morpheus DG also came second in hard antler trophy class at the national deer competition with his 4yr head.
Huneric DG was the 3rd highest scoring stag @ 4yrs ever in 2011. He jumped an outstanding 69 points from his 3yr score of 501. At 4yrs he had a massive beam of 45 inches.
Mentor DG is the new record breaker. At only 2yrs Mentor DG scored 435 with 37 points. This was an unbeaten record for a 2yr stag. This was history in the making.
