Deer Genetics NZ is a family-owned business built on more than 40 years of experience in deer genetics and a deep understanding of the deer industry.

Father and son Don and Kelly Bennett are well known in the New Zealand and international deer industry. Together, they have more than 65 years experience and have been responsible for breeding some of the industry's most influential trophy stags, including six former World Record SCI stags — all bred from Deer Genetics NZ genetics.

 

From our farms in New Zealand, we supply deer genetics to breeders throughout New Zealand and internationally, while also providing practical deer farming and genetics advice. Kelly has been involved with deer all his life and has developed an extensive knowledge of deer genetics, with clients and industry connections spanning the globe.

 

During the breeding and sale season, our team keeps clients up to date with the progress of our sires and sale stags through regular photography, video and personal observations.
