Our Farms
Deer Genetics NZ operates across three properties in the heart of South Canterbury, covering over 1,100 hectares and supporting around 4000 stock units.
Our farms are an important part of our breeding programme, providing the environment where we farm, manage, assess and select animals across generations.
Our farms are managed throughout the year with a focus on animal health, nutrition, breeding, performance and land management. Seasonal stock work, pasture management, breeding and animal selection all form part of the day-to-day operation.
