Environmental Care
The land is an important part of our farming operation. Across our South Canterbury properties, native vegetation, wetlands and forestry sit alongside productive farmland. We aim to manage these areas with care while supporting the long-term future of our farms.

Native Vegetation
Areas of established native vegetation are retained across our farms and form part of our carbon-credit programme. These areas are managed as part of the wider farm environment alongside our productive farmland.

Forestry & Carbon
Forestry forms an important part of the land use across our properties, including redwood and pine forestry. Our forestry areas are registered under the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme (NZ ETS), contributing to our carbon-credit programme.

Our farms include waterways and riparian areas that form part of the wider farm environment. These areas are managed alongside our farming activities, with established native vegetation retained around waterways.

One of our farms is home to a native wetland bog believed to be thousands of years old. The wetland is an important part of the natural environment on the property, and we are committed to retaining and protecting this unique area.
